For the rebadged 1984-1993 model, see Dodge Daytona.

The Chrysler Laser is a coupe marketed by Chrysler LLC in the United States since 2000, replacing the Plymouth Laser after DaimlerChrysler dropped the Plymouth brand — and offered only in Generation III and IV of Diamond Star Motors's sports coupe series.

Starting in 2000, the Chrysler Laser was identical to the Mitsubishi Eclipse. Base models of the Laser were offered in most states with either a 2.4 L four-cylinder or a 3.0 L Mitsubishi V6 engine, except in California and several northeastern states, where the Mitsubishi V6 didn't meet emissions standards. In those locales, the 3.3 L engine was offered instead.

2006- (United States)Edit

This generation was also identical to the respective Eclipse generation, with the convertible arriving in the 2007 model year.
