Amazing Agent Luna is a 2005 American action film directed by Steven E. DeSouza. It stars Emma Watson as Luna and Weird Al Yankovic as Dr. Andy Collins, along with Kylie Minogue, Kay Panabaker, Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, Willem Dafoe, Ashley Tisdale, and Lily Tomlin.

The film started as a 3-D film idea by Mario Kassar during the early days of Carolco Pictures. After Carolco went under, the project was in development hell for several years until Carolco was brought back as a subsidiary of C2 Pictures. By then, Village Roadshow Pictures was involved.

A novel based on the original Operation: High School idea was penned by J.K. Rowling in 2001.

TriviaEdit

  • Emma Watson and Kay Panabaker dubbed their own voices in the Spanish dub, while Emma also did the voice of Luna in the Japanese dub.
  • Emma Watson remarked that the DNA enhancement injections were painful, though they did have a plus side: her own physical strength developed more quickly than average, and she was able to do all her own stuntwork for the film.
  • The only portions of this film ever converted to 2-D was footage used in the behind the scenes special, as Emma Watson insisted the film only be released in 3-D.
  • Except for Francesca Aldana and Oliver Riggs (who are Spanish and British, respectively, but speak with American accents), all the characters use accents from the region they come from, while Bruckenstein natives use English accents.
